Analytical Connectionism

Analytical Connectionism

A school & workshop series centring on analytical approaches to connectionism: neural network models of perception, memory, decision-making, language, and cognitive control.

series established 2023 current edition 2028 · University of Alberta (Edmonton) and Banff International Research Station (Banff)
§ Preface

Connectionism, a key theoretical approach in psychology, uses neural network models to simulate perception, memory, decision-making, language and cognitive control. For all its successes, theoretical understanding lags behind empirical practice. This series brings together graduate students, postdocs and senior researchers to close the gap, through intensive summer schools, focused workshops, and peer-reviewed lecture notes.
